When two Tomcats collide during a training mission, killing one of Punk's best friends, Punk has trouble believing the student pilot's claim that a malfunction in the cockpit was responsible. When a similar glitch nearly kills the sole female student pilot in the squadron, Punk suspects a cover-up involving the use of faulty parts.
