and guitar legend Steve Morse. Ward and Steve have been
friends since Steve played a USO gig aboard USS John F.
Kennedy back in 1986. The two of them just finished collaborating
on a video project for which Steve wrote and performed
the soundtrack. (Photo taken at the Rams Head Tavern in
Annapolis, November '01 following a performance by Steve's
band, The Dixie Dregs.)

Ward's
books aren't just for Navy folks. He's developed a following
among Army Blackhawk crews, as well. Here members of Forward
Support Medical Team No. 1 pose holding their favorite
reads in front of one of their H-60s. This photo was taken
in Mosul, Iraq on Christmas Day 2003. This gallery is
dedicated to their safe and speedy return.

Another
shot from the Punk's Fight shoot. Jamie had to look far
and wide to find a road in southern Maryland that looked
sort of like a road in Afghanistan. As regional experts
know, the roads in Afghanistan, like the roads in southern
Maryland, are bordered by tall grass. (Work with us here,
please . . .)
